Question: Teacher Gifts

I have heard that a PTO can only spend $200 total on teacher gifts, but cannot find anything to back that up. Is there a legal limit on how much a PTO can spend on teacher appreciation gifts?

There is no 'legal' set amount. it all depends on how much your PTA/PTO allocates for teacher gifts or how much you all can afford. Just remember if you use the funds out of the treasury to keep a receipt in your books and what the money was used for. This way if anyone ever questions it you will have an answer.
