Question: Can you change the SS# tied to the EIN

As PTO President, my ss# was used when applying for our EIN. When I am no longer president, can the ss# number be changed to that of the new presidents?

The IRS tells us that they require a social security number when you apply for an EIN as a security measure. It's not something that needs to be (or can be) changed. It's just a way to prevent the setting up of dummy corporations that are used for illicit activities. The fact that your name is on the original EIN application doesn't make you responsible in any way for future actions of the group.
