Question: Fundraising goal has been met

Now that the monetary goal has been met for a school need, who is reponsible for fulfilling the need? We raised enough money for a walkover bridge on a low spot on the campus, but no one has taken any steps to measure, design, and arrange to have such built. Thanks

Talk to the principal to see how he wants to proceed. Because it's a construction project and involves safety issues, chances are you'll need input from the district. For one thing, there's likely a bidding process that needs to be followed. Let the principal know that your group is ready to do the leg work (if that's true), but you would like the go-ahead from him. And find out whether there's someone in the district office you should work with.
