Question: Family Game Night

Hi, I would like to know how to run a family game night, I have been searching this site for a couple of weeks now, and I thought that I had seen a family game night kit, however, I haven't been able to locate it, can anyone help me? I appreciate any input. I have found family reading night, family go green night, also Parent Education night, but nothing else. Thanks again.

Unfortunately, we don't currently have a game night kit. We might have some other resources that can help, though. What kind of night are you interested in -- board games, active gym-type games, video games, or something different?

We ran a family game night in the fall of 2009. We worked with Gamewright. They supplied the board games and we had a number of them on hand for parents to purchase. It was great in the Fall before the December holidays. We did not run it as a fundraiser but it turned out to make some money for us.

Thank you so much, mjarmusch, We already had family game night last friday, and people keep coming up to us, and saying how successful it was, so we do want to have another, and will keep Gamewright in mind.

We are planning a game night in two weeks, we are still looking for some good ideas. What worked and what didn't work for your game night?

I ran a Family Game Night last year and just this past week. The parents and students loved it. It was a relief to the administration to have something done for the school that they didn't have to plan. How I set things up was to get Teachers to host the games and parents from the PTSA or anyone who was willing to cohost the games. I picked games that big groups can play together to try to get participation from everyone. I tried to have about twenty people per room. We started with "are you smarter than a..." It was parents against the students. It was a hit and then depending on which classroom you went into we had family feud, win lose or draw, wheel of fortune, taboo or reverse charades. Then we finished with Zumba. It was a group activity for everyone. We served a light dinner ( hot dogs *beef and vegetarian) chips and a drink. Do rush it, but don't make it last forever.

We use Game Wright games. The company ships demo games and new games. I plan a Family Fun Night where families can play the demo games for free to "test them out". They can purchase the new games that we have on hand or order them if we run out. It's a GREAT free family night and whatever money you earn from the games is purse profit because there's no up front costs involved. We also serve food and snacks.

We have done a couple of family game nights with SimplyFun. This past one in April was a STEM focused game night and everyone loved it! SimplyFun helped us run the games nights and provided all the board games plus additional games for raffle prizes. We got to keep the games kits for free by having a two week long, online fundraiser with them. Parents loved that as well. Their site is www.sfgameraising.com and I highly recommend them.

Hi! The PlayStation gaming console, which is one of the most popular in the world today, can provide an unforgettable gaming experience. It is worth noting that for its users the company provides an extensive store of games for every taste, and everyone can purchase them without any problems. It is very convenient to use, but if someone has difficulties, then you can not look for the playstation phone number but contact them online, and they will provide assistance, and for this, all gamers highly rate them.
