That question is a bit off topic (we primarily answer questions about PTOs and PTAs), but it's an interesting one. It's particularly interesting because nobody really knows the answer. As you can imagine, there have been lots of studies on what makes a good teacher, but they're pretty much inconclusive. Even factors like a teacher's education level don't seem to be a significant predictor of how good a teacher a person will be. If you ask this question on our sister site, www.schoolfamily.com, I bet you'll get answers from some people (including teachers) with strong opinions, though.
