Question: parent involment

We live in a very rural area and we have 119 sq.-miles in our district .It is very hard to get parent involvement. Any ideas?

One strategy is to have fewer and larger activities. That way parents don't have to come to the school frequently, and when they do there's a significant attraction. Another thing that some schools have done is to plan dinner with activities. It doesn't have to be elaborate, but it's easier for parents to travel a distance to the school if they don't have to worry about planning dinner.
