Question: School photo's

Our administrators from all the schools in the district got together and changed our school photographer. The PTO was not involved in this decision even though we are heavily involved in this aspect of our school. We were not even informed that this had happened. Is this a decision that should be made without our input?

I guess one question from this is why the administrators took this step. Were their problems with the school photographers schools had been using? Was there a financial advantage of standardizing with one vendor? What's too bad is your group (and others) surely could have provided great information to administrators that would have helped them make the best decision possible. Certainly it is an opportunity to reach out to the administration now and ask how to best work with them in the future so that your group can be part of the process.
