Question: Attendance at meetings

How long must a parent remain at a general meeting for their attendance to count? Our Bylaws do not address this and we just had an instance where a parent dropped by, signed in and then left. Does Robert's Rules suggest anything regarding this? Thanks you!

H! We're guessing your question concerns quorums? In general terms, the person would have to be there at the time a vote is taken. The quorum would depend on what your group has outlined in its bylaws for the number of people that would make up a quorum. So, if that person signs in, leaves and is not present for a vote, then that wouldn't count. k
