Hi Dede 10,

Box Tops for Education is a widely used program in schools. The a short explanation is your PTO collects Box Tops coupons, which appear on 100s of everyday products you find in the grocery store, and in turn your school receives 10 cents for each coupon submitted to Box Tops for Education. (Schools can earn up to $20,000 a year.) We have lots of information on our site about Box Tops programs. I'll direct your first to the Box Tops section of our File Exchange. You will find lots of useful documents that you can download and use at your school. There are also tons of collection sheets.

Also, here's a link to the main site for Box Tops for Education. This is where you'd go to enroll your school and get additional information about how the program works.

Good luck!

After you join the BoxTops program, collect them and turn them in, the BoxTops folks cut an earnings check to your school or PTO/PTA twice a year. There are absolutely no rules or requirements from the BoxTops people for what BoxTops funds can be used for. A school or PTO/PTA can use them for whatever they want to--books, lockers, roof, sports equipment, food, technology, paint, bullying programs, t-shirts, you name it.
