Typically, a group would change the term limits outlined in the bylaws by discussing those changes with the group and holding a vote to make the change. If you are talking about this year's election, there is probably not time to do so. But, it sound like you have folks interested in running for board positions, which is a good thing, right?

When your group has the opportunity, make the changes to term limits that the group thinks is best.
