Question: In legal matters who represents the pto

There is a case of theft and a non profit board member or pto member has been speaking in court as though she represents the pto is this legal?

I wouldn't think a regular member would be allowed, but a board member could. I would expect the president / chair of the board, unless your by-laws say differently.
