1. What is the Back2School 2008 program?

Back2School 2008 is a specially designed program from PTO Today that will help your group make an amazing first impression with all parents at your school. This program includes everything you need to get your year off to a great start and get parents involved early on.

2. What do I get by signing up?

Quantities are limited, but if you are selected to participate, your group will receive a Back2School Kickoff Kit that features a guide to building parent involvement at back-to-school time, a “Get Involved!” welcome back banner for display, a flyer on how to make Jump In! magazine work for your group, and complimentary copies of Jump In! magazine for your school’s families.

3. How will the Back2School 2008 program help our group?

We know that building involvement is a key challenge for parent groups. And we know that parents need help understanding how to best get involved with their children’s education. This program is designed to provide you with the necessary tools to address both of these obstacles.

4. What is Jump In! magazine all about?

The content for Jump In! magazine focuses on two aspects: 1) why and how parents should get involved and engaged with your school - content like simple volunteering opportunities that parents might not be aware of, and why involvement means so much to their child’s (and school’s) success; and 2) at-home tips for devising a great school year – content from experts regarding taming the homework tiger, communicating well with your child’s teacher and making sure your child arrives at school each morning ready to learn.

5. Who can participate in the Back2School 2008 Program?

At this time, our Back2School Program is open to all K-8 parent groups in the United States, and you must be an officer in your school’s parent group to sign up for this program. We can only provide this service to a limited number of schools, therefore registration does not guarantee inclusion. We also reserve the right to choose which groups may take advantage of this program.

7. Where and when will the materials be delivered?

Your Back2School 2008 Kickoff Kit will be delivered to your home address sometime during the months of July and August. Copies of Jump In! magazine and any confirmed complimentary sample offerings will be delivered to your school’s address (to your attention) sometime during the month of August or early September, depending on the arrival date you request when signing up. Your school address must contain a street address—we cannot deliver to P.O. Boxes. Someone must be present at your school address to receive your magazine shipment.

8. What kind of ads will be in Jump In! magazine?

Advertisers are carefully selected by PTO Today. We take pride in displaying companies featuring family-friendly messages for the new school year.
