I attended the Chicago conference yesterday and their was a lot of talk about matching gifts from corporations. I am interested in learning about this. Can anyone give me any ideas or any companies that participate in this. Does anyone have a sample letter they sent out. Who do you contact? Anything would be greatly appreciated.

My husband's company does a 3 for 1 matching gift. So, for example, if we donate 100.00 to our chilren's school the company will match it at $300.00. There is a form that must be completed. It is not complicated that the school sends to the company and then they send a check to the school.
We did a teacher wish list this year and many families donated money that was matched by their company. This allowed us to buy several thousand dollars worth of equipment.

We are also looking into opportunities that if we raise a certain amount of money having a company match that amount.
