We are in the process of switching from a PTA to a PTO in WA state. We have heard conflicting advice on what to do with our current funds. 1. Can we open a PTO bank account and donate the money to them? 2. Can we donate the money to our school with the understanding that they will donate it back to us? 3. Do we need to pre pay a bunch of stuff and spend down our money? We can do but this may be difficult and a little wasteful. 4. Something else?
I think we are ready for the change but this is our big hang up/
