Bylaws

5 Years, 8 Months ago

Page: 1

We are currently in the process of "winding down" our PTA and developing a PTO. By reading all the information on this very informative website, I am figuring out how to go about the process....But, what we don't have is a sampling of some Bylaws to go by.

Does anyone know where I can gander at a few different ones to pull some ideas from so we can get ours written? School is starting back up in just a few months and it seems like we are running out of time already....

Thanks...

Hi Aud -

Two ideas for you:

1. Click on the "Bonus Tools" button above. There you'll find (among lots of other great stuff) a "link to a link" of dozens of sample bylaws.

2. Also highly recommend our "Start-Up Guide". It has exhaustive detail and recommendations on all the key first steps: http://forms.ptotoday.com/store/product.html?id=1001

Good luck,

Tim

I am in the same boat. We have all new officers and it seems that no one can produce the bi-laws. If you get any help, could you pass it on?

Thanks!

The Start Up Guide is a great help. We just are finishing up the process for our PTO. We have a website with our Articles of Incorporation & ByLaws on them: Lake Center . Most of the language is based on what is required by State of Michigan & Federal Law for a non-profit.

And like everybody else - to take care of a problem so it doesn't happen again.

If you scroll down a ways you'll find them. We also have a Finance Page which has many of the forms we use. Most of them were adapted from those here on PTOToday.

This place is awesome for helping out, venting or just plain ole socializing!!
