We have had schools stage a Run Drugs Out of Town Run at the end of Red Ribbon Week or any other time of the year and they have also used it as a fundraiser where the students have raised money for whatever the school needs from new gym equipment to caffeteria tables and even Smart Boards. The event is a great way to empower kids on the issue of drugs and also show them just what they can do.

We would be glad to show you how to do The Run at your school.

Hi,
I was surfing the net yesterday found this really neat website it's called
easyfundraiseronline.com - June Special Offers it's really easy and it's free.
What you do is your parents shop online at their favorite stores an when
they shop they get rewards for shoping that go to your school. They have a 1-800 number also for ?s or when if you click on register your school they
give you all kinds of info on how to register.
Hope this helps!

We have done the same...no catalog sales so all money stays with the school.
We have a Walk-A-Thon in the Fall (kids walk laps for pledges) and a Basket Bingo Bash in the early Spring (bingo for prizes, large raffle baskets, some silent auction items and food/snacks/drinksdrinks)
We make small amounts from shirt sales, decals, directories, restaurant nights and box tops.
We also hold lots of free fun nights too. Good Luck!!

Contrary to the name a Penny Party has nothing to do with pennies. It is also called a Chinese Auction. At our school we ask parents to donate "themed baskets" and any new or unused items. We also solicit various businesses - both local and national - for gift certificates or samples of their products or services. We wrap the "baskets" in clear wrap and incorporated any individual donations into a prize. Example - gift certificate for a local pizzeria with a bottle of wine. Admission to the party is $5.00 - this is pure profit. We sell numbered raffle tickets of 25 for $5 - 75 for $10. The guest walks around the display tables and inserts their tickets into the prize of their choice. They can put in 1 - 5 or all 25 if they really like it. When everybody is finished - about 2 hours - we start pulling the winners for each individual "basket". We also open our kitchen selling pizza, hot dogs, wine and beer which we also try to get donated. Some of the larger gifts that are donated are raffled off at $1.00 a chance. We are a small school and can only fit about 125 people in our hall after all the baskets are arranged and displayed but we usually see a profit of about $2,500.00 every year. Hope this helps.
