This is certainly nothing to get 'angry' about. Just don't order and move on if you don't like it. Seriously.

As to whether or not the company gets the collected addresses - a school in my community sent 172 booklets full of 11 addresses each directly to the company. I can see the temptation of easy money, y'all, but really, is this what you want your school to do - collect addresses to promote junk mail to people who may not even know their addresses have been supplied? I wish this one wasn't legal.

If you know for a "FACT" that personal info does not get sold
Or used by affiliate, please tell us how you can prove this?

This new fundraiser is a complete rip-off! The prices on these magazines are outrageous! I get many mag. subscriptions and these are criminal! I am so angry that my niece sent this to me, I know you are just counting on everyone buying, but what if we can not afford it? I am so outraged that this puts me on the spot and my niece will cry if I do not order. Shame, Shame on you all for this rip-off!

Our PTO has ran SchoolMall for over 6 years and I was approached with the same questioning of free and reduced lunch and Hispanic speaking which at first I was offended until I ask the rep why she must be needing that kind of info. She told me that they try and make sure that no only will they make money but wants to make sure that we as a school can make a good profit as well. She told me she didn't want me to send the booklets home and do the work if it wasn't going to be profitable for us so I felt alot better and understood why they ask those e questions. SchoolMall has treated my school well and I recommend their program! It's FREE and very EASY!!!

Our school attempted to register for this program. The rep. from School Mall asked a battery of questions about the student population our school serves. After learning that a large percentage of our student body receives free or reduced lunch and are English Language Learners, the School Mall rep. determined that our school wouldn't be "a good fit" for their program and we were declined enrollment on that basis. I don't know how they can justify their "profiling" of our srudent body in such an egregious, outragous manner! To flippantly determine that our student body and their extended family and friends must be too poor or too Hispanic to buy their crap online is beyond comprehension. We have a fundraiser scheduled for the spring through an affiliiate of School Mall where we would be selling school spirit wear to our students. Historically, we have made thousands of dollars for that company. However, guess who will be promptly cancelling that event on Monday morning? We will take our business elsewhere....somewhere that realizes that everybody's money is the same color in this country! Please don't support this blatantly racist organization. You're just lining their pockets from the hard earned dollars of your family and friends. There are plenty of worthy organizations out there. We plan to contact the School Mall merchants to inform them of the offensive policies of this company!
