I can give you a couple of sure bets:

American Girl / Pleasant Company
Attn: Charitable Contributions
8400 Fairway Place
Middletown WI 53563-2554
(They will donate a doll to your non-profit once every four years--write them and they will dend the paperwork to fill out--you can then fax it back)

Circuit City
Attn: Corporate Giving
9950 Maryland Dr
Richmond VA 23233
(They will donate one $100 gift card every year to your organization)

Good Luck!

I had never thought of that! We usually stay local for our auction and honestly, it's kinda cheesy. Well, I'm in charge this year and your idea sounds great. The only big names we have used is Wal-Mart and Toys R Us. And they didn't donate, we got them at cost. I would be very curious to see what others say on here.

Hello I'm about to volunteer to chair the auction at our spring carnival. I was wondering if I could get some tips on which "big name" companies or celebreties often give donations. In addition to local business I wanted to contact larger businesses and even the "rich and famous" but I thought maybe some of you who had "been there/done that"" could recommend some people to ask who in the past have given. I'm thinking of getting autographed pictures, autographed CD's, trading cards and other things to go in my "priceless" category for the auction. Thanks a bunch!
