Just wondering how long many of you once voted in serve as an officer? Currently we hold elections yearly so each officer term is yearly unless voted in again. Does anyone else do this differnet.

Our by-laws specify two-year terms, with an attempt to have staggered terms.

We hold elections yearly but members are limited to serving three years consecutively in any board position.

We have yearly elections but no limit to serving.
|

Most positions: 2 years. Some positions: 1 year. Although a person may not hold the same position past the term limit, there is no limit to the number of times a person can run for/hold other positions on the board.

We have one year terms, with a 2 consecutive term limit. I'm not a fan of term limits in public office, but for the PTO, it encourages new leaders to emerge.
