Private pre-school PTO balance < $1,000. Is there a way to hold money accessible by the treasurer without having to open account under individual social security # or Tax payer ID #. ?

Don't use an individual SSN.

It's easy to get an EIN (employer ID number) from the IRS; why wouldn't you do this?
