Check out www.cheddarup.com/pta. It has everything you need. It's been a life saver for us.

We use Facultyfunds.com its school oriented and the PTA earns cash back (and there are no membership fees for us- just the parent).

Try FacultyFunds.com ! You can collect $ for nearly anything school related. You just create the event/collection, send to parents or staff, and then the money is sent to your bank account in about 2 days.

It's also great because there are no fees for the PTO. The payment processing fee is really cheap and it is put on the parent/staff member (.89 for a 10.00 contribution, 1.49 for a 20.00 contribution- cheaper than any ATM fee) They also take a portion of their processing fee and donate it to education! I know they just donated to a PTO in NJ!

Check out Pay4SchoolStuff.com. We use them for after school enrichment classes, yearbook purchases, spirit wear sales, movie night RSVPs (although there is no cost for that event--we just use it to track the number of people coming), dues--pretty much anything where we collect money. Fees are slightly higher than PayPal, but it's much easier to set up and administer. One school I'm with just switched from PayPal to P4SS because we had PayPal issues and it was too difficult for the volunteer who was maintaining the website to figure out. Plus it's darn near impossible to get a PayPal person on the phone to help you. I've used Square, too, and it's fine--but P4SS is designed for schools and overall a better solution, IMHO.

We use PayPal. If you are a nonprofit organization and supply PayPal your IRS Determination Letter, you can have your fees slightly reduced. I know there is also "Square" which is similar. I've heard of another program called "Venmo". This one is free, but both parties (you and your customers/parents) must create an account with Venmo and transfer money via an app on your phone.

Hi. Does anyone use software (free or low-cost) to accept credit card payments/register online for events? Trying to gauge whether or not to move from paper forms and checks to something online. If you use an online source to collect payments/register for events what are the costs involved? Pros/cons? Thanks!
