Our PTO has existed forever. We do have a tax id number and state sales tax exemption, but we don't have the charitable organization status. We're working on it now. We also can't locate a copy of our by-laws or charter. No one remembers ever seeing it. Any ideas? Do we start over with a new one? What should be included in the document? Is there a starter charter some where we can look over? We appreciate any suggestions.
