Has anyone heard if the piegrants have been awarded? Is there a way to find out? I don't see anything on their website.

Please excuse my ignorance, but what is a piegrant?

Yes, the PIE grant winners have been notified. I believe the winners will be announced by GM publicly this week. We'll also try to get those up on our site. I guess the bad news is that if you haven't heard -- then you probably weren't selected. As a judge, I can tell you that there were a tremendous number of worthy selections and narrowing it down was tricky.

As background, the PIE (Parental Involvement in Education) Grants program was an effort spearheaded by General Mills to help promote parent involvement. Fifty $2,000 grants are being given as we speak to support new or existing parent involvement programs.

We sumbitted an application for the PIE Grant as well - however we did not receive one. They have already been announced and the winners were notified at the end of Feb...I know this because I received an email from GM anfter I emailed them asking about it...they also sent me a list of the winning schools and if you want me to send you a copy please just email me and I will forward it your way... ptsoparents@aol.com
