On the first day of kindergarten we host a donuts and coffee in the cafeteria for parents of kindergarteners. I want to do something really special this year. Last year was fine but I want to make these parents feel extra special. Any ideas? Themes? All I can think of is something to do with Hershey's Hugs and Kisses....TIA

I teach PreK and on the first ay of school we hand out a package of tissues and a bag of tea with a cute note that says go home relax and put your feet up!

When my daughter started kindergarten, the teacher used the same idea- a kleenex and a tea bag- with a short poem.

Hi, This year we are doing a "kindergarten Coffee" we were going to call it Kindergarten Cry room but thought we would end up with more crying Kids than parents. We sent out a nice invite, and are serving coffee, bagels, our principal will be there, we will sell t-shirt, the regular stuff, my husband thinks we should have someone take photos of the kids saying goodbye to their parents and should give those to the Kindergarten parents at the coffee.
