We hold a "Big Step Reception". We provide invitations to all K parents when they enroll. We serve donuts/juice in the morning and cookies/lemonade in the afternoon. They get to meet the PTO board and learn about fun activities and the principal talks too. We usually provide a poem or even survival kits to the new parents.
I've never heard of a Boo Hoo breakfast either - but LOVE the idea and would love to put one together for my new parents next year - does anyone have any flyers or paperwork on what they have done?? Thanks in advance..... Carla
We gave sheets of labels to the school registrar and she printed and put on the postcards. we paid postage and mailed them. It's gotten easier over the years and we have less problems
