I'm conducting research on the weirdest things teachers say to our kids. Teachers spend 8 hours per day, 9 months of the year interacting with our children. I want to determine if and how the intentions of teachers, verbal and nonverbal communication, attitudes and behavior affect our kids. Go to http://www.theweirderstthings.com to help out. Thanks for your support.

Not to kids but to parents this is my favorite"
"I promise to believe about 1/3d of what your children tell me about home, if you promise to believe about 1/3d of what your children say about our classroom."
That has put my child's ENTIRE education process into perspective!

thanks, i guess i'm too analytical and hard-minded. as a school psychologist i have the feeling that teachers exert too much influence on kids who are very impressionable. thanks for your good nature and i'll have to ponder this again to see if it is really a true problem.... stay in touch
