Does your PTO/PTA have a Facebook account set-up to help get information out to families?

We are looking at doing one and communicating w/ the school's information director. I was just wondering how much say the school district has over what the Parent Organization can and cannot do.

Do you have a Facebook for your parent group?
Did you need special permission from your school/district?
