Has anyone used a blow up outdoor screen?

2 Years, 7 Months ago

Hi, we are a school of about 500 students we do not have a gym just an all purpose room. We do not have a space that will house the entire student body unfortunately. While looking for some ideas I came across an inflatable movie screen. I was just wondering if anyone had used this and what the cost would be. Thanks for any imput you may have.

We got a screen, equipment, set-up, and operation (ie the company did everything) for about $1800.

If you were supplying the labor, probably half that, I'd guess.

If you don't expect too much from me, you might not be let down. <img src=images/smilies/smile.gif>

Our town uses one twice a year and its fun. We were thinking of doing that last year, but we already had too much on our plate. They may do it this year. Call local places that rent inflatables and ask. If you supply volunteers, it is cheaper.
We were going with the old "drive in theatre" theme and have each family in a parking space with their beach chairs.

I have been the president for my daughters school for the past 7 years and took this year off to enjoy her last year of elementary. But i have chose to stay on as the entertainment director for the PTO group and run the years upcoming events. The reason for that is the following. I own and operate a complete entertainment company. I have been lucky enough to have most of the items that the schools have needed over the years. And I do carry inflatable screens, Now I rent them out for $895 for events, but for school I rent them out for $600 a night complete with staff and everything you need except for the movie that you provide for your event. This is a great idea for those of you that do not have the room inside your MPR's. And by the way for those out there maybe wondering. I am a Full Time Single Father that has done this for my daughter and her school now since she started school. So there is time in the day to do everything, just remember that they are only young once and you may miss that once in a life time moment.

49 er thanks for the information it looks great. $600.00 would be super. I wish I lived in your area. I am in Massachusetts. I think I will look into it a bit more because it looks like lots of fun! I think it's wonderful you volunteer for your daughter's school and I agree they are only young once! You sound like a great dad and I'm sure your daughter is very proud of you! Thanks so much for the information I truly appreciate it very much!
