Has anyone ever held a Math night at their school?

Hello I am the president of the PTA for my school for the upcoming school year of 209-2010. We are getting our calendar ready for next school year already and one of the proposed events will be a Family Math Night. I have never held or participated in one myslf and I was wondering if anyone ever has and if so, would they be willing to share their experience and give me some advice as to how to set one up, hold one, and what all it entails. Thank you in advance for any help with this.

My former elementary school held math nights. Rather than being run by the PTA/PTO, they were run by the math department. I would try to get the involvement of school for this event.

That could work great-- we hold a science night and the science teacher runs it with the help of other staff members so all parents can come out... it's a great night and the kids love it.
