i am needing a letter to explain the plan for our PTA to switch to a PTO to send home for the first day of school. i may have overlooked it in the file exchange, but any guidance would be greatly appreciated! thank you

we are in the beginnign stages, we know this is what we want to do, i will contact our regional pta person and run an ad in the paper of a meeting to be held 2 weeks after school starts, where we will be taking the official vote to change.

Do you normally pay for ads in the paper for your meetings? If no, then you don't need to do that here. Sufficient to make the notice of this meeting the same way you make notice of all your events and meetings.

As far as the letter to notify NC PTA when changing from PTA to PTO, are there specific details that have to be in the letter or just a general letter indicating that our school is having a meeting to vote on the change? Does it have to be on school letterhead? Does it have to be sent any certain way in the mail or can it be faxed? We are down to the wire as far as the 20 day prior deadline.
