We have been using Give Smart for 3 years now. They do all the processing and check out! :)

We attempted to accept cards last year for the first time, and were unprepared. We had 2 devices and 2 "square" card swipe attachments. Their overhead was small and we figured if it increased ticket sales, it would be worth it . What we didn't anticipate was the slow internet/wifi connection just frustrating people trying to use it. (Our event is outdoors, close enough to the school that it was trying to pick up that signal, idk.) We actually haven't discussed whether we will try it again this year or not. We did use similar swipers at another district event, and I was told that one went a little smoother. That was also indoors, and we had 2 tablets, and a seperate line devoted just to that.

We accepted credit cards for the first time at our last auction. It upped our bottom line by $2,000. People were more apt to bid higher because they didn't have to have the money with them or in their checking account. We used a paypal account, they went us the device to use with a smart phone.

Who accepts credit card payments for their auctions? Who do you use? Why?

TIA

Sorry, my post never posted from earlier....

I think you may have to have an account. On my start page it's about 3/4 of the way down on the right side.

The main heading is More Ways to Shop and the link shop nearby items is in blue.

Hope this helps

I am having a hard time using Etsy. I am computer illiterate :(

I do not see a "shop nearby items" or "more ways to shop" section. I tried entering my zip code like someone suggested and it can't find that either. Can you tell me where I can find these? Thank you!!!!!!!!!
