Hi,

I think the Boo Hoo Breakfast is such a great idea. I'd be very grateful if you would send me copies of flyers and/or posters that you have used successfully (szibrat@comcast.net).

Our first day of school is August 12 but the Kinder parents accompany the child the first day. I'd like to set the Boo Hoo Breakfast up for the second day of school.

Do you think I am kidding myself?

If your saying "do I have enough time to do this?" I'd say "Yes!" Making sure that everyone knows about it will be your biggest challenge, but putting it together should be simple. I just call our local Walmart and order muffins, then when I go to pick them up I get jugs of juice, cups, plates, napkins, etc. We just put everything out on the table in a "self-serve" fashion, and go! I'll send you the flyers I'll be using this year. You can post them around the school and hand them out. I'm also making signs to post along our drive into the school to remind people that morning. Will attach those too.

I'm trying to plan a boo hoo breakfast event for my son's school. Can you email me a copy of the flyers you used to promote event and if anyone has this poem about going to kindergarten mentioned above also? Thanks.

My email is valluzzos@juno.com

I'm starting our own Boo Hoo breakfast, but we're calling it Back to School Breakfast to encourage all parents to stop by. I would love to get a copy of any fliers/poems etc to incorporate any other great ideas. My email is gtimmindy@netscape.com.
thanks

We are also planning on doing this and I would love to find a poem to go along with the theme.

If anyone has any great ideas, flyers, or poems that they are willing to share, please email me at nespto@earthlink.net or post here.

Thanks so much!

Jamie

Here is a link to a previous topic in which poems were listed for parents on the first day of kindergarten.

Okay, I'm hooked! The boo-hoo breakfast sounds like just what we're looking for. Could someone please send me a copy of the flyer (not my gift!). suzanne831@msn.com I'm thinking about taking digital pictures of the kinders and their moms at drop off time, printing and framing them, then handing them out at pick up. Just a little momento of the day. The hugs and kisses were a great idea, too. Maybe we'll wrap them in tulle, tie with blue and pink ribbons, and attach one of the poems.

We are organizing a back to school coffee for the first time and I love the Boo Hoo Breakfast idea for the Kindergarten parents. I too would love a copy of the flyer any of you have used in the past (richman5@mchsi.com). Many thanks!

Oh, I love the digital picture idea!!! I just got a new camera and this would be a great way to use it. So often the parents get pictures of the kids but not of themselves WITH the kids. Can't wait to share this idea with the board and see if we can make it go!

I'm also sending you the flyers we're using this year.
