Default Events without parent supervision

So what events does everyone offer that does not require the parent to be there. We hold roller skating events after school in the gym and there are maybe 8 parents for 125 kids. After review the event - I was thinking...Are we crazy to have any event that are supervised by volunteers only? Should we change our events to parent supervised?

I think if you change it to be that way, you'll have less liability on your part.
Some parents might not like it that they now have to come out, but the whole point should be bringing families and communities together for some fun--- promote it that way and hopefully you won't get any flack for the change. Good luck!

Tons of flack - people don't like change. We are now looking to get the high school seniors involved.

None of our events are without parents. They all require the parent be there unless we bill it has a holiday child care event so parent's can go out and shop. We do events to build a family community and that includes the parents. You guys have taken on a lot of work that's for sure....

Every one of our events require the parents to be there with their child. The child doesn't have to stay with their parent, but the parent needs to be there (no drop offs). Just imagine if something happened, especially with no medical professional available.

Not sure if the nurse stays during the skating, but if not then the parents really need to be there.
