Hey Guys --

A committee at our school is going to be doing some painting, game-creating etc. on the playground asphalt (it's a parking lot that doubles as a playground).

Any best ideas, links, resources come to mind that help us make the best of a tough recess situation?

Thanks in advance,

Tim

Peaceful playgrounds are really nice and have nice stecils. But before we found them and had only a $100 budget, we bought OOOPPs paint and painted picture frame designs, four squares, hopschotch and a outline for tic tack toe with the help of a parent's student in college for architecture and very good at making sure we looked good!! Okay, and $25 of our budget bought him a gift card for pizza!

This year came the challenge of making recess fun for our new student in a wheelchair. We made, yup, made a backboard and hung it on the wall. Granted we will need to touch it up as the snow has not been kind to it but piece of smooth plywood $20, can of blackboard paint $25, brushes $5, the look on her face.....yeah yeah yeah but everyone enjoys it and chalk is SO cheap!

Look at you...asking for ideas....now the fun begins!!!

Oh Shawn, their prices were SO much better than the site I was given!!

And a note about the blackboard, didn't get it hung under some protection from the elements SO it needs to be re-painted. Disappointed but a change of location will be better anyway.
