Are you talking about the Whole thing (concrete, hoops, painted court)or just hoops, backboard and painted court (lines)?

If blacktop or cement is already in place your school system would be in charge of hoops, painted lines and the like (at least in SoCal Los Angele Sch District is) not the school

My husband is a landscape contractor and he has done some game courts, but it is a concrete base with a shcok-absorbing flooring system (interlocking tiles that go together like puzzle pieces). Anyways, we are in North FLorida, but I'm sure if you have anymore details I can pass them along to him and see if I can help you out on that cost and size issue. You can email me at sciartellimom@aol.com.

We are in the process of completing a basketball court at our elementary school. Don't have a complete cost yet, we were able to get some of the ground preparation (bulldozing) donated by a parent and part of the concete cost. Check in your community and businesses to see if they would be willing to donate.

I must say that we discussed putting in baskets but opted out because we didn't want older children hanging around on the weekends. We opted to get rollout basketball stands and when it is basketball for PE the PE teachers use the inside area or roll them outside....
