Question

I have been actively involved with a playground project since Jan. and our playground committee needs to raise $90,000.00 total. We broke into 3 groups to become constructive fund raisers
(school, community and corporate) We feel we have tapped out our school and can no longer send home fundraising info., we have done several community based fundraisers and are now depending on our corporate group to raise the remaining $40,000.00.
My question is... do any of you have ideas for how to approach big companies for big donations?

we get donations for a carnival in the spring...we have found it beneficial to send a request in the form of a letter on a school letterhead to the larger companies...many of the professional sports teams have a special form you have to fill out...you can usually find these on their websites...also, you might find it helpful to look at schoolpals.com, they have a 5 or 6 page list of companies and celebrities who donate with addresses...you will be surprised by the response you will get...hope this helps...good luck with your project!!!
