I am trying to set up an 8 Week Fun Run program and was wondering if anyone has ever tried this before and how sucessful was it? Any tips would be great considering this will the first one here at this school and the first one I have ever put together. I was somewhat involved in one at my daughters old school many years ago. But because it was many years ago I am fuzzy on all the details. Right now I am just winging it and it is my first year as President of our PTO. SO a little nervous. Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appriciated. Thanks in advance!!

Hi!
Our school runs an after school running program. A special education teacher has published a book,
Happy Feet, Healthy Foods". She has a website with ideas, go to kidsrunning.com.
Hope this helps out.
She uses parent volunteer to assist the children and has a 1k fun run to round out the year with parents and children. We had a local business donate medals to award the children.
Good Luck!

We are starting the Biggest Loser Challenge after the holidays for the parents. We will charge $2 a week, and after 3 months, whoever loses the most weight will "win" the money that is collected. I think it is important to do something fun for the parents as well as the students.
