PTO Today

I should probably wait until after we have this event so I can share the good/bad, but I'm wondering if anyone has tried something similar. In a couple of weeks, our Middle School will have its first student dance. Usually parents drop their kids off and then come back to pick up 2 hours later. Some parents hang around to "peek in" or officially chaparone. This year, the PTO will host a parents-only euchre tournament at the same time as the dance. The kids and DJ will be in the gym, the parents in the media center. We are charging $5 each to cover snacks and prizes. We just sent the invite out today, so it's too soon to know how this will turn out. But most folks we've talked to are very excited about this event. Anyone ever tried something like this?
