Hi Renee! Thanks for the warm welcome!!

It's Monday so I'm having a tall vanilla latte, skim, double shot.

Okay...I'm kidda bummed....I wanted to have the 1000th post....
oh well, i can live with 1001 and that is more than I ever thought we would see!

I started this as a place to just chat and have thanked Tim so many times, thank you Tim!!

I am a Iowa farm girl now living in the burbs of Denver. Miss Iowa but we do visit, not sure about this summer but see what happens.

My name came from a radio show. Dr. Laura talked about how she is her son's mom and once my second and third children came along I decided that's what I wanted to be. SO I quit my job when we moved and five children later here I am! I was litterly born July '69 so I love to say "Loved the 60's because I don't remember a thing!"

May is crazy. Can't wait till June-

This thread has saved my sanity numerous times. Thanks for starting mykidsmom and thanks to Tim for letting us continue.

My son and I were counting the number of school days left this morning and I am SOOOOOO ready for this year to be done. I've started planning our "Friday Fun Days". I want to do something fun and maybe a little educational every Friday during the summer. The kids have promised to really help around the house so we can have the free time. I just want to enjoy them!

thanks so much for the warm welcome!!! i got my name from my kids' name both girls begin with m's and they are gymnastics freaks!!! gotta love them. of course, guess who ended up in the gym coaching!!!

Hi, I'm here because I'm addicted to PTO.

I think that's how I ended up being a soccer coach, hockey team mom....Kids wanted to join & they needed help.Ugh!!! Some days seem never ending. On a sad note...it's only 4 months until school starts back up. Okay, where's the tequila!!! We plan on doing alot of camping this summer and the boys and hubby plan on going fishing. We'll hit the lakes alot.

Looks like we're the same age. You probably made the moon landing. I just missed it.

Glad everyone enjoys the thread... and the site. As I like to say in person at our conferences -- all the thanks points in your direction for all the importnat work that all parent group leaders do all year long. This little ol' message board is the least we can do.

I just snuck over to the office from our EXPO (which is today and pretty cool!). have to get back before I'm missed.

renee s. that's how they get us!!! everytime i come home from an event my hubby says "what did you get into now?" i just laugh, because he really doesn't want to know!! Last night i was coaching third base in softball. what's really bad i don't know much about it! I can't imagine not doing stuff with my kids. I'd really be lost.

Hey Tim, I was two weeks old for the moom landing and my Mom had me in a infant seat by the TV...it really was over rated for the time!! HA! Really, my three boys think it was cool Grandma did that.

We are having Appreciation Week this week and when I left the school I was so ready to cancel everything planned for the rest of the week because of all the whinning. Then I checked 24 thank you e-mails and read your posts....okay, I'll be okay. Sometimes I think others really have no idea how much of our hearts and souls we give. None.
Oh well, sometimes I hope as long as the Admin sees and hears what is said and knows what I am doing all will be good.
