We Got The Beat!!

I use to have a crush on Dr. Drake and Blackie (John Stamos). I remember Meg Ryan when she was on As The World Turns and David Hasselhoff on The Young and The Restless.

Thanks m2gymmom! Right now the car is running high 8s (8.87 - 8.94) on the 1/4 mile. It's a little inconsistent but it's brand new so we're working out the kinks. We're getting a new hemi from Steve Morris Racing. That should make it a little quicker too. The graphics are actually vinyl decals. We were in a hurry to get it out on the track and didn't want to wait for airbrushing. Unless you're standing right on top of it, though, it looks like paint. It was done by Freelance ( www.freelanceindy.com ). Over next winter we'll probably send it to his shop for real paint.

We're having a blast with the car this year!!!

mykidsmom - nice Mopar!!! What kind of times are you running on the 1/4?

I wish racing was all we have to do right now. With the move coming up I'm working hard to get the house ready to go on the market. The painter is... um... casual. Maybe he'll be here by 9am, maybe 10, whatever. The plumber fixed the upstairs tub but had to cut two (2!!) holes in the kitchen ceiling to do it. The carpet guy, well, never mind... (my son's 1st grade teacher said "Be nice or be quiet" - that's a good rule to live by.) The relocation company is asking for a whole new roof because one (1!!!) shingle is curled. Sheesh! Oh, and apparently you can't get a garage south of the Mason/Dixon line. Carports rule! Nothing like us Yankees going down and changing things.....

i am amazed!! those are decals!! that is one nice ride!!! once a mopar family always a mopar family! do you drive the car? i'm kinda afraid to drive the road runner. i like to watch from the pits. i think i appreciate it more that way.

mykids i drive an '02 dodge caravan "we can't have anything but a mopar in the driveway!" we have a 70 roadrunner, 02 caravan, 98 dodge ram, any the "clunker" 89 plymouth acclaim. my last minivan was a 95 plymouth voyager, we sold it when it had 199,902 miles on it, not joking you, and it is still running today! i wanted to keep it just to see it turn 200,000 miles but the timing belt went on it. so bumbed out! i miss that van!! plus we never did a thing to it but normal maintence.

m2 - you're cracking me up!

Oh no, I don't race that 'Cuda. It would probably kill me. I did race my '06 Dodge Charger Daytona (yeah, it's got a hemi) last summer. I ran low 14s in it. My husband said I could get it in the high 13s if I knew how to drive it!!!!! Whatever.... 100mph was enough for me. And no wheelstands either, thank you very much!

It's hysterical in my town the local high school colors are orange and black. And my car is orange and black. So I'm very popular with the high school crowd. Lots of them try to race me on the street but I always let them win.

mykidsmom - you said you didn't know anything about cars and look at you dropping terms like 'trany'.
