Hey guys! Again, I should be sleeping but my kid who never gets sick, is sick and sleep will have to wait. I had to go buy new medicine because the "newest" children's cold med that I had expired in 2002 and the newest fever/headache med expired in (get this!) 1999! This is how often this kid gets sick, so he's staying home tomorrow.
Meanwhile, he's kissed me on the lips five times today and before I realized he was "contaminated" it was too late so I'll probably be next...

Anyhow, heard a good quote that I thought you all might like (and by the way, I'll take a guiness)
"Working mothers are guinea pigs in a scientific experiment to show that sleep is not necessary to human life." Although it should be PTA(or insert favorite acronym) moms instead of working mothers.

Unhappy

This is definatly a funnel night for me. I have had the worst day ever so keep the drinks coming. I had a fall festival committee meeting tonight and guess how many of the folks showed up out of 5. Just me and 2 weeks to go until fall festival. no raffle tickets sent out--don't even know what we are raffling, no dinner tickets sent out as we don't know how much to charge, nobody knows if all the stuff for the booths are there and if we need to buy anything, 10 volunteers for 25 booths and dinner, I could go on all night so it's a good thing the doritos and pepsi are available. I stayed at the school after work waiting on people for crying out loud. When I called them: I never volunteered for this, someone else volunteered me---I have too much to do and wish I had never volunteered to do this---I forgot and have to get my kids supper--I'm tired from work, can we reschedule?
I'm really p o ed!!!! I have 3 kids, work most days from 7am to 6 pm and volunteer. These excuses are so lame!!!!! I don't know weather to continue beating my head against a wall or just quit. I'm normally not a quitter but somedays you have just had enough.
Thanks for letting me rant. I feel better now.

tiner,
Have you checked with you local churches or high schools to see if any of the kids are required to do community service? We have trouble with volunteers as well. As far as how much to charge, just guess and at worst mark it down throughout the night. You can only do what you can do, but keep up the good work because I'm sure lots of people will enjoy it!

Anyone have any candycorn? I'm having a special craving for it tonight.

I actually do have candycorn and it's the honey kind, (which I think is the absolute best ever!)
I like to eat them in layers (one color at a time), wonder what a psychologist would say about that??

Anyone want to sing "The Monster Mash" with me?

I really love Halloween!!!

I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who eats them like that. My kids think I'm funny, but I still put olives on my fingers, too.

We do the Monster Mash....

I would put olives on my fingers except that I hate olives. I even try them every couple of years to see if my tastes have changed, but it just tastes wrong...
