Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
This recipe sounds delicous, will try it soon.
I just received 9 cases of Nestle's Cookie Bars for the Family Fun/PTOToday gift bags. If they were the brownie bars, they would NOT make it til Friday nights Swim and Skate Family Fun Night. The best candy ever! One small bar soothes my chocolate lust.

George Strait???? I wanna see George Strait, where's he gonna be? In Michigan, closetwriter?
How did I let that one slip by me? Must have been up to my eyebrows in labels, boxtops, and receipts! LOL

I received 6 stouffer's entrees boxes this month in our "Cash for Trash" collection, all nicely folded and packaged for me. Awwwwww, wasn't that so nice? Let's see, I've also had empty(not quite emptied all the way) taco seasoning packs, empty cig packs, milk caps, receipts from every store within a 50 mile radius, lots of Kool-Aid points, and some kind of Kraft's labels???, sucker sticks, Chef Boyardee labels, and various other grocery and non-grocery labels and lids. Can NEVER get it through their heads that we need the ENTIRE Campbell's label and not just the little girl! Or that the red Betty Crocker spoons are worthless to us!

Well, I'm off to the sleep disorder clinic tomorrow to see why I wake up going SNORT SNORT SNORT all the time. Probably has something to do with all that chocolate I consume. LOL

Sorry if I sound ignorant, but what is a Swim & Skate? It sounds dangerous!
And just so you don't feel bad, I wake up going "snort, snort" when the weather changes, or when one of the kids gets in the bed with me and tries to sleep on my head, or when I've been cleaning, and the list goes on....so good luck with it.

Our local sportsplex has matching grant opportunities for non-profit to rent out the entire complex to host events. For approx. $400, we are offering swimming, ice skating, and board games for 2 hours to our school families. This is our second year but the first offering both on the same night. We don't charge our families, just ask them to bring a snack to share and we provide beverages (McDonald's donates 2 igloos filled with their orange drink and powerade).

So, that's a swim and skate. Loads of fun.

Cool

It's me, it's me who's going to see George Strait! February 18 in Orlando and I can't wait. My oldest daughter and I are making plans, giggling alot, and are getting just plain silly. It's hard to believe that she's going to be 18 this year. Of course now my other daughter (yrs old)is extremly upset that she can't go. But, I've told her that one day when she's a little older we'll take a road trip somewhere, just the two of us.

OOOhh! We got the cookie bars too. We had to move our Family Night up a week so they came too late for that, but we're giving them away at our spring carnival. 120 kids will go home with a bag of cookie bars....well, maybe 119!!!

I'm in a great mood today, our meeting last night went really well. The committee has shrunk but the ones left aren't afraid of work. Next meeting is at my house with margaritas!!! You gotta throw some fun in there too!

Speaking of margaritas.......

Oh, by the way Debbie, I had a coworker who had the same problem. He has sleep apnia(sp?). they gave him this little machine that pushes oxygen in while he sleeps and his problems stopped. Plus he had so much more energy and just felt better overall. Not sleeping well can really screw up your body. Good luck!

AAAARRRRGGGGHHHHH!!!! Okay, now I feel better. Trying to set up the book fair volunteers. Haven't had too much success with that one. It's the same three people "volunteering" for about 10 time slots, offered over the course of four days (both day and night time). A few people responded that they are too busy to find time to volunteer. (And your point is...?!?!?) Like who's not busy? It drives me insane! By others saying that they're too busy to take one slot (for an hour), it makes the rest of us have to take 5+...and I'm scheduled for every single one. These will be the same people that complain about the way it's set up, run, etc.... Okay ladies, I need a quick reminder. Why did I volunteer to do this?

Hi closetwriter, I received the cookies through signing up through the PTOToday newsletter. There was a link to it, you had to have a Fun Night scheduled, I believe.

soccer,
You do it because you're a parent who believes that being involved in your child's school is one of the most important things you can do in life. It's sad that those other folks don't take advantage of the opportunity.

Thanks for the reminder! Of course, we do it for all the right reasons, and the good ALWAYS outweighs the bad. Sorry for "unloading" on you all--I am better now. It's just nerves, I guess. Sometimes you just get a little overwhelmed, you know? It seems as though the busier my home life gets, the more that I'm needed up at the school (or maybe it's just my perception.) Probably on the "lighter" household weeks, I don't notice it when the school gets demanding. I guess I've finally realized my limitations. Superwoman? Yeah, right!!! She can have it!
