We are trying to come with ideas for a mother son event. The usual ideas come up, bowling, rollerskating, movies, blah..blah..blah.
Any new ideas out there in PTO land?
Thank you.

I've heard of mother/son dances. Maybe a potluck & game night. Good luck!

Lisa,

We have done a YMCA night the last couple of years. The local Y rents the facility on sunday evening for a couple of hours. We had the pool for swimming as well as the "gym" The boys have a blast playing different games with mom. Variations on tennis, volleyball, etc. We have a few dads volunteer to "man" the boys lockerroom and we have different grades donate snacks. (ie. K=pop, 1st=chips, 2nd=cookies etc.)

One event that I recently heard & would like to try for next year is a Mother-Son Brunch. Brunch is prepared and served by the school DADS. Think it could be great fun.

We are trying to organize a Mother-Son "Campout". This will NOT be an overnight event, but rather a fun day(evening)in the park with games and ending with a hay ride (in Sept or Oct). I'd like to hear more ideas from anyone about this campout idea-it might help us both. I'm looking for ideas for games, food, decorations, etc. Thanks!

Thank you for the great ideas.
We did a mother/daughter pj party at the school and it was fun. We had a movie and popcorn too.
WE set up an area with pillows and fun teddy bears and used that as the photo op. area.
The girls had fun doing each others nails and hair braiders were sent in to help.
It was a great night.
