Re:Movie Night Question
Our PTA did a movie night last April that was successful. They showed Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory and incorporated the golden ticket idea into it to sell more concessions. They used the golden tickets to award various prizes. The one thing that the board from last year told me was that they would do movies during the winter months when the weather is iffy and it gets dark early. With all of that being said, we are doing our first movie night of the year next Friday. We let the kids vote on which movie they wanted to see and they choose Dr. Suess' How the Grinch Stole Christmas. We are going to sell popcorn, candy and bottled water. Fingers crossed that it all goes well!

Popcorn Movie Night Snack Ticket

We laminate these to use each year. We give each person one as they come in the door. (or so many for each family member to the parent) Everyone can have one free snack and beverage and we charge 25 cents after that.

We just had ours on Friday night (our first time) and we had a really good turn out. We had popcorn and bottled water for purchase, but if they paid the $1 to get in, they got a free bag of popcorn. We also had a raffle for a movie basket which included popcorn, candy, the movie we were watching and a bunch of filler things. For our first time, I'm very pleased. Our only issue? Parents dropped their kids off so we had two kids who had no rides home and we had to call a few people to get them home. But overall? Great fun and successful!

Polar Express Grade K-5 Kids loved the movie. They came dressed in their PJ's. We made train tickets to give out to the kids. Served cookies and cocoa on the 'train" Looking forward to Toy Story 3
