A PTO-sponsored monthly restaurant night is a small but steady fundraiser for Glacier Ridge Elementary, but only if families remember to go. After Julie Wilson missed the first one of the year, she suggested the group take a page from her former PTO in Texas: Put stickers on students’ shirts to remind parents on the day of the activity. “A piece of paper stuck inside my kid’s backpack often gets unearthed well after I have started and often finished making dinner,” Wilson explains. “The sticker my sons brought home gave me the maximum time to remember and plan accordingly.”
