“We are having a ‘couch potato party’ for dads. It takes place on the day of the year’s biggest college football game around here: Michigan vs. Michigan State. They are renting a big screen TV, plus they have set up a raffle for VIP seats—three recliners outfitted with their own personal coolers. Second prize is a complete steak dinner served on game day. We are charging $3 admission, and raffle tickets are $1. Hot dogs and hamburgers have been donated, and we’ll serve root beer, as well. The men are fired up. I don’t doubt for one minute that this will become a school tradition.”
