“Our music teacher was seeking funding from our PTO for tone chimes (like hand bells, only more indestructible). I asked her to borrow some from another school and have some kids perform at a PTO meeting to demonstrate how neat they are. The smiling faces on the kids as they performed a wonderful melodic piece inspired our group. Not only did their performance clinch the funding they needed to buy the tone chimes, but the performance helped remind all of us why we work so hard to raise funds for the school. Having the kids perform also boosted attendance at the meeting since the parents of the kids performing were sure to attend.”
