Show your school’s teachers how much they matter by presenting each of them with a self-care kit for good health—perfect for back-to-school time, winter holidays, the new year, or anytime coronavirus, cold, or flu might show up again.

Check out the easy steps below to get started. The downloadable tags can be personalized with each teacher’s name and used as either a self-stick label or as a card stock gift tag.

How To Make a Self-Care Kit

Step 1: Purchase a mug, a mason jar with a lid, or another container large enough to hold a variety of self-care items for teachers.

Step 2: Fill the container with any or all of the following items (individually wrapped or travel-size packets work best):

  • Acetaminophen

  • Hand sanitizer

  • Energy bar or other snack

  • Stain remover pen

  • Gift card for coffee

  • Hand lotion

  • Chewing gum

  • Antacid

  • Earplugs

  • 1 or 2 tea bags

  • 2 or 3 bite-size pieces of candy

Step 3: Decide whether to print our customizable Teacher Self-Care Kit labels as self-stick labels or card stock gift tags, then follow the remaining steps below.

For self-stick labels:

Step 4: Print the labels using Avery template #15513 or the equivalent.

Step 5: Place the sticker on the outside of each container. If you’re using a container with its own lid, you’re done! Otherwise, see Step 6 in this section.

Step 6: If you’re using a mug or other open container, place the filled container inside a clear cellophane bag or wrapper after adding the label, then tie closed with a ribbon, yarn, or string.

For card stock tags:

Step 4: Print and cut apart the tags, then punch a hole in a corner of each one.

Step 5: For a closed container, simply tie a length of ribbon, yarn, or string around the lid and attach the tag to the tie. Otherwise, see Step 6 in this section.

Step 6: If you’re using a mug or other open container, place it inside a clear cellophane bag or wrapper before adding the tag, then tie closed with a ribbon, yarn, or string and attach the tag to the tie.
