Varsity Gold Shuts Doors

Looks like Varsity Gold won’t make it out of banruptcy.  We’re hearing that their recent Chapter 11 filing (which implies a re-organization) has been switched to a Chapter 7 filing (liquidation). I’m sure there are a lot of good people looking for work today, and I’m hoping that not too many groups are owed $$ from Varsity Gold.  Best wishes to all.

    I just wanted to say that my heart goes out to the people most effected by this disaster, the reps doing the great work and the schools that wont get the great products that Varsity gold once had. I know that the former representatives of Varsity Gold will come back with something even better for the schools and organizations in the very near future.

    Our school has an awesome rep from Varsity Gold that has kept in touch with us through the entire process of the filing. She has now gone on to another company but called me immediantly to let me know that we will stiol be working together in the Fall.

    Do happen to have the number for the Varsity Gold rep that has stayed in touch with you or the name of the company that he/she is now working with?

    I have always got the Gold Card from a school. I did not get one this yr and called the school and they said they have them for 2010. I have been trying to find a closer school to buy from and I find this? Does anyone know what school has these that I can buy some. I liked that there was a discount at Dicks. Any other card that gives a discount at dicks would also be great.
