I have a request for you this week rather than a tip. Would you please take two minutes and let us know the one or two things we could do for you as a PTO or PTA leader that would be of most help?
As usual, we’re in the midst of planning for the new year, and we’d love to hear from you what you’d most like us to work on. More online tools (like what)? More programs for groups (in what areas)? More freebies or giveaways? Anything else?
Respond any way you’d like. Comment below. Jump in on our message boards. Ping us on Facebook. We’d just love to hear from you. Thanks in advance for the help.
Please also accept our best wishes for a peaceful, happy, and involvement-filled New Year.

Any way to make Volunteer Builder better to schedule volunteers? Show a calendar/grid with time slots, and then when someone “volunteers” for that slot, say 12-2pm, it shows filled (unless more than one volunteer needed).
Also, we use Volunteer Builder to record volunteer hours (volunteer hours required in Catholic schools, so different than public); but we don’t “approve” them until verified if the number of hours is big (donations of money/goods counts); so then we can’t see who “volunteered” …. Both of these would be huge help.

Phyllis- Appreciate you taking the time to give us feedback. Have shared with our PTO Manager folks. Not sure exactly what’s next for PTO Manager developments.

I think PTO Today could help a lot of PTOs by offering websites for PTOs. It would be great if you hosted the site and updated via password protected access. You could offer bigger storage for $$. Maybe only for Plus members or as a “value added” PTO Manager users – we could link to your site or have your banners, etc. on the page. We would be able to update frequently without having to burden school personnel or get access to school website. Plus, not everyone is computer/tech savvy and having the “skeleton” site at PTO Today would allow pretty much anyone to drag/drop content into site…and it would remain that way regardless of who the officers are in the future. I have personal website capability on my computer, but I would be the only one who could do it. I would be glad to talk further about this idea if you are interested. Thanks!

How come the 2010 Expo is not on the West Coast (California)? I am very interested in going but am unable to fly to attend for the day.
Thanks,
Lisa

Hi Lisa -
Each year we try to get around as much as we can, but it’s tricky putting the schedule together with hotel availability and conflicts and our staff travel, etc.. We have been in Cali in past and hope to be back in near future. Big country
